Bourbon Cup

$90.00

My most recent wood-fired works are wheel thrown, wire-cut and expanded, with a hand cut foot. Fired for 7 days in the Le Serra Denver Anagama wood kiln in August with support from many hard working and generous ceramic artists. The satin hand of these bulbous cups feel luxurious with tea, wine, bourbon, or any preferred slow drink. Earth tones record a journey of fire, ash, and extreme heat with minerals in the clay and wood. A carbon neutral firing process adds to the good feeling - a tree burned releases the amount of carbon it absorbed in its lifetime, and is the same amount it would release rotting in the forest. Yay renewable resources and beautiful handmade cups!
